Panthers Turn the Tables on Jaguars

Image
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Last year, the Jacksonville Jaguars opened their 2025 season with a 26-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers. But Friday night, Carolina returned to Jacksonville and changed the outcome.   In the second week of the 2026 NFL preseason, the Panthers defeated the Jaguars, 34-17. Carolina took control early and carried a 20-6 lead into halftime.  The Panthers finished the game with 385 total yards and held Jacksonville to 318. The victory gives Carolina a different result in Jacksonville than the teams’ previous meeting. The Panthers will now turn their attention to the remainder of the preseason as they prepare for the 2026 regular season.   For Jacksonville, the 34-17 loss is another preseason test as the Jaguars continue preparing for the season ahead.

In 1878, this talented player made history while playing for the Lynn Live Oaks baseball team. That year, he not only helped lead his team to an official league victory but also marked a significant moment in baseball history.   On May 17, 1878, Bud pitched in a game against the Tecumsehs of London, Ontario. His performance was outstanding, as he helped secure a 3–0 win. This game is especially important because it was Bud's professional debut and the first time an African American played in organized professional baseball…

The Battle for Mainstream Eyes   Without a corporate media push, incredible street talents are often trapped in a digital bubble. Millions of casual fans watch traditional sports channels without ever knowing that one of the most dominant isolation scorers in the world is ruling a blacktop in California. Mainstream covers grant a level of prestige and widespread discovery that an independent smartphone video simply cannot reach on its own.    Chasing the Ghost of "Skip to My Lou"  When you look back at streetball history, the gold standard is . In the early 2000s, SLAMmagazine boldly put Skip on the cover, launching the global AND1 Mixtape era and bridging the gap between the streets and the NBA. Hezi God has that exact same culture-shifting talent. He deserves that iconic print recognition just like the legends before him, because his impact on the concrete is undeniable…..

SB- Ryan “Hezi God” Carter

Image
Intro: Ryan "Hezi God" Carter does not have official, mainstream sports magazine covers like Sports Illustrated or SLAM. But I’m putting him on the podcast cover of Entertainment Podcasting Sports. He’s an incredible streetball player and has been an incredible player in the BIG3. Earlier in the podcast, we talked about him being a BIG3 player...    The Missing Validation of Print  Some might argue that in the digital age, a player doesn't need legacy media if they have an Instagram following. But the truth is, Hezi God did need a magazine cover. Not everyone is standing on the concrete at Venice Beach to see him play live, and algorithms only show his highlights to people who already love streetball. A mainstream cover is what bridges the gap, introducing a playground legend to the casual sports world and solidifying them in history….

Sports Vision: To the Man with His Head Hung Down

Image
To the man I saw with his head hung down...   In sports, we are taught to only celebrate the wins. We look at the highlights, the home runs, and the trophies. But lately, I’ve been thinking about the silent moments. The moments where the stadium lights feel too bright, the expectations feel too heavy, and the weight of the game forces your head low.   Maybe you’re a baseball player sitting in the dugout right now, feeling like you keep striking out. Maybe you’re an athlete in another sport, or maybe you’re just a listener trying to navigate your own daily lineup. I want to say to you directly: These are hard times…

How U.S.-Iran Tensions are Reshaping Global Sports By Gail Nobles 7.27.2026 Hello, sports fans! This is Gail Nobles with a special report on how the U.S.-Iran conflict continues to affect the world of sports. While direct strikes have paused in recent days amid ongoing diplomatic talks, the broader tensions are still creating significant challenges for international events. Airspace restrictions and safety concerns have led to widespread flight cancellations and rerouting across the Middle East, complicating travel for teams, athletes, and fans alike. Regional travel limitations have added further hurdles to safe and reliable movement. These disruptions have already forced organizers to postpone matches in some cases, with safety remaining the top priority. Uncertainty also lingers over international tournaments hosted in the United States, as teams navigate complex logistics and potential restrictions amid the geopolitical climate.   THE JET TAKES FLIGHT: THE EVOLUTION OF KEVIN KNIGHT By Gail Nobles 7.24.2026 The spotlight is often a narrow beam. It shines on the loudest talkers. The built-in main-eventers. The predictable choices. But every once in a while, an athlete arrives who moves so fast, hits so clean, and possesses an engine so relentless that they force the entire industry to adjust its focus. That man is  Kevin Knight . Yes, you know him as “The Jet”. The explosive high-flyer. The graduate of the legendary NJPW LA Dojo under Katsuyori Shibata, who captured gold alongside KUSHIDA as the Intergalactic Jet Setters.  But let’s look closer at what makes him truly dangerous. One: The Physics of the Flight In a landscape full of high-flyers, Kevin Knight doesn’t just jump—he defies the math of vertical elevation. A man built like he's carved out of solid rock shouldn't possess that kind of weightless aerial grace. When he launches himself across the ropes or hits his signature splash, it’s not j...
