  I was surprised to see Daiju Takase escape Emmanuel Yarbrough in the UFC. Yarbrough is 600 lbs & Takase 169 lbs. I had to ask myself how is that little man going to fight that huge man. For a long time Daiju Takase moved around the ring and though Yarbrough was slow in moving, sometimes he moved quickly to try to catch Takase.   Towards the end of the fight, Yarbrough got Takase down on the mat. Takase tried to get out from under Yarbrough. It looked as Takase was stuck.He started hitting Yarbrough with his leg stuck. Yarbrough began to bleed. Somehow Takase got his leg out from under the 600 lbs fighter hitting him, and the fight was over. Daiju Takase beat Emmanuel Yarbrough! Amazing. I’m Gail Nobles and you have been listening to EPS.

  The Welterweight Champion of the World! Here is the First Lady of Boxing, Cecilia Brækhus! Tonight she looks to make history of 25 successful title offenses. Her record consist of 36 bouts and 36 victories.  Cecilia Brækhus is a Norwegian professional boxer and former kickboxer. In boxing she reigned as the undisputed female welterweight champion from 2014 to 2020, and is the first woman in any weight class to hold the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO titles simultaneously.

  Kendrick Carmouche is one of the very few African American jockeys left in the game. He is 38 years of age and was born in 1984. He started riding horses in his hometown of Louisiana. He received his jockey license when he was just 16 years old.   Kendrick’s official win came in his name in the year 2000. He has won more than 3400 races and earned nearly $119 million.  That’s a lot of racing and that’s a lot of money. That tells me that Kendrick Carmouche must love the sport. I suppose Kendrick is like his father who also rode professionally and was a jockey. Kendrick is making African American jockey history. He is the first black jockey in the Derby since 2013.   Kendrick talked about the black pioneers that paved the way and got pushed out of the game. Kendrick thinks he’s rewriting history. Kendrick feels that he needs to make it right for all the jockeys before him to stay visual. He feels that it wasn’t easy to get to the point where he’s at, but ...

  The Houston Astros have won the World Series! The Houston Astros beat Philadelphia Phillies 4-1 in Game 6 and won the World Series.  The Houston Astros celebrated their 4-1 World Series win on Saturday, Nov. 5 2022.   Yordan Álvarez made a three-run home run in the 6th inning, and the Houston Astros made a 4-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 6 of the World Series. The crowd went wild!  The Houston Astros are the 2022 World Champions. The score is 4-1. They won their second title in the last six series at Minute Maid Park downtown Houston, Texas. They claimed their title at its home field.
